If I had an extra $600...

This would be my diaper bag.

Just because I have to carry diapers, babas, blankies and burp cloths doesn't mean I shouldn't be able to do it stylishly.

The Books Can't Teach Me Everything

With as much reading about having and caring for a baby, I truly thought I was prepared for just about anything. That is until Anderson got his first fever. I don't care how many times I read the page that said, "a fever in a baby over 6 months old that is under 104 does not warrant a call to the doctor", I still called the doctor. Three times. And my sister. And my mom. And sent Gabe to the drug store twice. What am I going to do the first time he bleeds?!

Time For Change

I used to blog about weddings, parties, expensive shoes and lovely paper. These days I spend my time researching the safest car seats, most functional strollers, and top rated high chairs. I have traded in my issues of Martha Stewart Weddings for my well worn copy of What to Expect The First Year.

As the mother of the now 7 month old Anderson, I learn something new everyday. I learn by trial and error and way too many calls to my sister. I learn by observing every woman with a child within my field of vision. I learn by over-researching absolutely everything on line.

With motherhood comes a new perspective on the world. I find that since having my son I drive a little slower, speak a little softer, and sing a whole lot more. There is so much that nobody ever tells you about being pregnant and about caring for a baby. This blog is my outlet to share what I learn on this journey-good, bad, or ugly. Let the adventure begin!
